Each puzzle hides a single English word. Can you discover it before running out of guesses?
Making Guesses
Every guess must also be a valid dictionary word, the same length as the solution.
Start typing letters A-Z to begin a guess. Additionally:
-
Enter submits the current guess.
-
Delete removes the previous letter.
-
Space skips to the next empty letter.
-
Arrow keys navigate through letters.
Reading Guesses
Each guess provides information about the solution:
- 🟩 Green letters are in the correct position!
- 🟨 Yellow letters are in the solution—just not at that position.
- ⬜️ Gray letters are not in the solution.

The dictionary words and definitions are based on the 2019 Collins Scrabble wordlist, available here.
Solutions
By default, puzzle solutions are selected from the most commonly used English words, derived from Peter Norvig's Google Books NGram 1-gram dataset, available here. The ability to allow more exotic words via difficulty levels is in development!
The pool of possible solutions is further refined to only contain the most-common variant of a word, so that things like plural nouns and -ing suffixed verbs are only selected if they are more common than their base word (ex: SHOES).
An effort is made to filter out some obscure slang terms, loan words, and vulgarities from the list of possible solutions, though they are valid guesses.
Invalid Words
Slurs, on the other hand, are considered invalid words to prevent harassment through puzzle-solution-sharing.
If you encounter a word you think should not be in the dictionary, feel free to submit a report in the Contact section.
